3 arrested in connection with Coimbatore car blast in Tamil Nadu: NIA

Three people were arrested on Wednesday in connection to the recent car bomb explosion in front of Kottai Eswaran Temple in Coimbatore (TN), according to the NIA.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Mohammed Thoufeek, 25, of Podanur in Coimbatore, Umar Faaruq, alias K. Srinivasan, 39, of Coonoor in the Nilgiris, and Ferose Khan, 28, of South Ukkadam in Coimbatore.

On October 23, a case was initially opened at the Ukkadam Police Station in Coimbatore, then on October 27, the case was taken over by National Investigation Agency (NIA) .
