Chennai, March 18, PRO DEF Chennai, British Navy warship HMS Tamar is on a visit to Chennai from 17-29 March 2023. The ship recently participated in multilateral Naval Exercise “La Pérouse”. Commander Teilo Elliot Smith, Commanding Officer HMS Tamar along with Captain Ian Lynn, Naval Advisor at British High Commission, Delhi called on Rear Admiral S Venkat Raman, Flag Officer Commanding Tamilnadu and Puducherry Naval Area (FOTNA) at the Headquarters Chennai, and discussed matters of mutual interest.
During her stay in Chennai, a variety of activities including professional and social interactions and sports fixtures between the two Navies have been scheduled.
